In the past we used to install a hose over the sending unit with a bolt/clamp, then we upgraded to a quick disconnect that also had a bolt and clamp assembly.
Now - we have a plastic blanking cap that does the same thing - only smaller!
5/16" is the standard return size fitting for 1994-2007 F-Series.
These can ALSO be used to cap off your selector valve.
